Terms of Service — Alaap SMS

By downloading or using Alaap SMS (com.alaap.inbox), you agree to these terms.

The service

Alaap is an Android messaging app that helps organize SMS/MMS, OTPs, offers, and financial messages. Features may change over time.

Alaap Plus

Alaap Plus is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks premium features such as finance export, advanced scam tools, cloud backup, scheduled send, and related features as shown in the app. Feature availability may vary by version.

You may obtain Alaap Plus through Google Play Billing and, where offered, through alternative local-wallet payment. Prices and availability can differ by country and channel.

Google Play subscription

Play product IDs:

• Monthly: alaap_plus_monthly
• Annual: alaap_plus_annual

Prices are set in Google Play and shown in your local currency in the app. Annual plans may include a free trial when Google Play makes one available.

Billing and renewal (Play)

• Play subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
• Refunds and charge disputes for Play purchases are handled under Google Play’s refund policies.
• Restoring purchases uses your Google account; install the app from Google Play for billing to work.

Alternative local-wallet payment (where offered)

In some regions (currently Bangladesh), Alaap may offer payment via Send Money to a designated number using supported wallets such as bKash, Nagad, or Cellfin.

How it works:

1. You send the stated amount for the selected plan (monthly or annual) from your wallet.
2. You submit the TrxID (and related claim details) in the app.
3. We verify the payment. Access is granted only after approval (pending claims do not unlock Plus).
4. Approved claims grant Alaap Plus for a fixed period (generally 30 days for monthly and 365 days for annual from the approval / extension rules we apply). This is typically not an auto-renewing subscription unless stated otherwise in the app.

Important:

• You are responsible for sending the correct amount to the correct number and for keeping your TrxID.
• Duplicate, invalid, or fraudulent TrxIDs may be rejected.
• Wallet fees charged by the payment provider (if any) are your responsibility.
• Refunds for local-wallet payments are handled by Alaap on a case-by-case basis after we verify the transaction; they are not processed by Google Play.
• Local-wallet Plus and Google Play Plus are separate purchase paths. Cancelling or refunding one does not automatically cancel the other.
• Misuse of the claim system (fake TrxIDs, reused IDs, etc.) may result in rejection and loss of access.

Entitlements

Plus unlocked via Play (including a Play free trial) or via an approved local-wallet claim provides the same class of premium features while the entitlement remains active. When both apply, access lasts while either valid source remains active, as implemented in the app.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to circumvent subscriptions or payment verification fraudulently, or use Alaap for illegal activity. You are responsible for complying with local telecom and privacy laws when using SMS features.

Third-party services

Alaap integrates with Google (Sign-In, Drive, Play Billing, Firebase) and, for alternative payments, mobile financial service providers (for example bKash, Nagad, Cellfin). Their terms and privacy policies apply to those services. Alaap is not responsible for outages or errors of those third parties.

Disclaimer

The app is provided “as is.” Message parsing (OTP, finance, scam signals) is best-effort and may be incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on Alaap alone for critical financial or security decisions.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alaap and its authors are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the app, including missed messages, incorrect categorizations, delayed payment approval, or billing issues handled by Google Play or mobile wallet providers.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
